Hello. Just wanted to take a few minutes to hopefully get the attention of the person or persons that stole all of my camera equipment this past Saturday - May 21st, 2011.

I will dearly miss my equipment. These things have been a part of my life for several years and go everywhere with me. But they are just things. What I care about most are the 3 memory cards that were in my camera bag and camera. If you can find it in your heart to send them to me I would be forever grateful. I will accept them - no questions asked. Please email me at mbphotomom3@yahoo.com if you have stopped by here because you found my card in the stolen camera bag. We can then set up a place for you to mail me these cards.

AJ ~ 4 Months | Sneak Peak

I had a busy weekend with a couple of sessions. One of them was with AJ to capture his 4 month pictures. It is always amazing to me how fast they grow and how quickly they change. Just wanted to share a quick sneak peak.

Don't ya just love how he has a hold of both of his parents - too precious!!

It is going to be a busy week finishing up swimming lessons for the kids. But I hope to have time to finish the rest of both sessions by the weekend.

I really had so much fun with Carter a couple of weeks ago. We had a nice warm week and could not have picked a better day to be outside to enjoy the weather. This little man is crawling everywhere, which makes catching him on camera extra fun. I think by the time I see him next he will be walking...take that back he might actually be running. Enjoy a few of my favorites from our session.

I am having so much fun watching Allyse grow this year. Can't believe that she is already 8 months old! Time really does fly by if your not paying attention.

Her parents and I met at Union Station for pictures. We thought it would be a great place for pictures, especially since it was so, so very cold outside. Union Station also is a special place to her parents. The location did not disappoint! Enjoy a few more of my favorites.

Is this coat just the cutest? I just love how fluffy soft it is. Plus it's PINK. Here Allyse was taking in the beautiful ceilings in Union Station.

I would LOVE to get my hands on one of these great Ephianie bags. They are a fabulously stylish camera bag that holds a lot of gear and has room for your phone and other items. These bags are the brain child of one fabulous photographer, Maile Wilson. I stumbled upon her blog via Shutter Sisters. I immediately added her blog to my regular reading list as a great source of inspiration for my photography. Anyway, check out her blog and her wonderful bags. Business Pictures

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of shooting headshots for friends of mine. They had contacted me to see if I could take some pictures for them to use online for business purposes. I was so honored to be asked. So far in my photography adventure I have not used backdrops and I really try not to pose people very much. But I knew it would be fun and was willing to go for it with my friends. Plus any chance I can get to take pictures of people is a good day for me. Family | The "D" Kids

My friend Kelly, who I met through the twins club, asked me to take pictures of her kids back in September. Every time I am asked I am so honored because I know how special pictures are. The rest of the month was very busy and October turned into an even busier month. So I'm just now having a chance to share these.

I met the family in a park in Olathe on a nice afternoon. The kids had fun running and playing in between all of our pictures. It is always so much fun for me to meet the kids of friends. We share so much about them that I felt like friends as soon as we met. Enjoy the sneak images.

Newborn Session | Twins ~ Conor & Sidney

Being a Mom first of a singleton and then of boy/girl twins, I could very much relate to this family. Being with them all brought back so many memories of the struggles, joy and fun that the first weeks and months we went through.

First off, aren't these classes the best? This is big sister Cameron. We started off with pictures of her so she wouldn't feel left out and the sunglasses were part of our "ice breaker". I seriously think I need a pair of these.

Meet Sydney, her and her brother were about 5 weeks old when I took these pictures. But they were still so tiny.

This is the other half of the twin duo, Conor. He slept for the majority of our visit only to wake up when it was time to be fed. He was still very "squashy" and just as precious as his sister.

Thanks Molly for letting me come by and take pictures of your beautiful family. It was so great to sit and visit, help you feed babies and to sit and hold them for a while. It makes me miss the fact that mine are not so little any more.

Meet my newest little friend Carter. He was just over 1 month old when I met him and is just adorable. It was so hard to pick just a few favorites, but here they are.

Don't you love those cute cheeks.

He has a wide array of looks that he gave me. Some very serious and some very sweet smiles.

During my visit I found out that he loves being outside. We were blessed with a beautiful day that wasn't too hot, so we went outside for a few pictures. Here he gives me another very serious look. He was probably wondering who this silly lady with the "thing" in front of her was.

Such a sweet family.

Thank you so much Stacia and Gabe for letting me come into your home and take pictures of Carter. I had so much fun and really enjoyed our time together. Also thank you for your patience in getting your pictures to you.

Isn't this such a great looking family! This is Kristin, Chad and sweet little Allyse. I had the pleasure of taken her 1 month pictures. I met this little family thanks to a friend in the twins club and we had a really nice time together.

My friend Courtney has patiently waited a month for these pictures. Rowan and Bryson turned one a couple of months ago. Our schedules finally came together for me to have a chance to take their picture. Of course it was during the hottest weeks that Kansas City has seen all summer, so we opted to stay in doors for most of our pictures. These two little guys are adorable and full of fun and adventure. We also took time to take a few family pictures.

Meet my newest little friends. Aren't they adorable? Their Mom and I are friends that belong to the same Mother's of Multiples group, GKCMOTC. Once they warmed up to me, which wasn't long, they gave me some of the best smiles. This is a sneak peak with more to come sometime later this week.

First Family

Meet the Curtis family. They are my very first referral family. Robyn is a good friend of Brenda's. I was so excited to hear that she was interested in having me take pictures of her family.

We met up at Hodge Park and walked around the Shoal Creek living museum. It's a really great location and very interesting to see all of the buildings and spaces. The morning was very overcast, misting, but thankfully not too hot.

With each of my sessions I have learned that you just go with the flow and let kids be kids. That is something very important to me, while also trying to get the pictures that each family wants. Colton was very interested in running around and watching the machinery, more than he was in stopping for pictures. But he was so fun and is just adorable.

Enjoy your pictures and I can't wait to meet up with you again.

Churchill Family

Meet Will and Xander. They are the twin boys of another good twin Mom friend, Shannon. They were lots of fun and gave me quite the workout.
Don't you just love seeing siblings get along and hug each other. These two were no exception. Unfortunately getting this shot caused all three of us to be covered in small tiny ticks. By the time we got home we each had about 15 to 20. Sorry about that boys!
After leaving our tick infested location by Longview Lake, we ended up at Shannon's parent's house. Aren't they a good looking family.

After interrupting their dinner, the Grandparents sat down to have a few pictures taken with the boys and by themselves. Thanks again for letting us drop by and use your backyard. I might take you up on the offer to use it with other families in the future.

Meet my newest friends. These two belong to a fellow twin Mom that I am glad to call a friend. She graciously allowed me to take pictures of these two so that I could get more practice and start to build my portfolio of children's pictures. We headed out to Deanna Rose to let the kids run and try to be as natural as they could be.This is Tommy. He made me laugh quite frequently. He knew what he wanted to see. Sometimes he stopped long enough for me to capture a picture of him. At one point near the end of the day he was done with pictures and reminded me that I told him we were done when I tried to get just one more.
Meet Miss Emily. She was 100% ready to get her picture taken. She is so quite, but ready to flash a smile in an instant. She has the cutest dimples.
I was lucky to capture the above picture. We had been trying to talk Tommy into getting in the picture with his sister. While I wasn't looking he jumped in to tell her a secret. I started clicking without knowing if any of the camera settings were correct and hoped the focus was okay. A special moment between siblings. Don't you just love her expression.
